Have you ever wondered what surface design really is? Are you curious about where it’s applicable? And would you be interested in learning some of the ways surface design can be applied to your own projects? Join artist and designer Christa Schoenbrodt with the Fiber Arts Studio as she discusses the various ways she has created her own custom designs and what led her to work with so many types of media and substrates over the decades of her creative career. She will talk about her upcoming classes at BARN, what inspires her as an artist and designer and share details about some of her own personal projects. Bring a lunch! We will sample various transfer techniques for your designs as well as different block substrates, carving options, water-based inks made for textiles, varying fabrics and more!
